COLOURED BOARD – LEATHER GRAIN EMBOSSED
Coloured board is a multi-layered board in various colours.
Multi-layering, that is forming the carton board in several layers, provides important technical features and gives flexibility in the choice of fibres (pulp) for each layer.
It gives the carton board good stiffness, creasing, folding, and gluing properties. It also assists grammage and thickness control. It is particularly important to use good quality fibre in the two outer or surface layers. This is because the fibres in these layers, or plies, experience the greatest effect of externally applied stresses, which can extend or compress them in printing, conversion (creasing/folding) and use.
Coloured board is available from 70gsm to 450 gsm in various colours – Plain or embossed in various designs. For example LEATHER GRAIN embossed
Coloured board is available in plain colours (12 colours) as above.
It is available in gsm range of 70gsm – 450gsm
It is available in both sheets as well as in reel.
In Sheet It is available in A4, A3 or 850 x 910mm sheet size packed in reams or in any size per colour OR in pack of 5 colours or 10 colours as per requirement (Custom made)

Description
MF kraft board
Packaging paper and board are of various kinds and depending upon product packed users have myriad choices to choose from the most optimum solution.
Choice of Packaging is mainly driven by the functional solution it provides so that it protects the contents from damage, dust, dirt, leakage, pilferage, evaporation, moisture, watering, contamination and so on. This is the most basic function a packaging is supposed to perform but it is not the only function. It also aims to provide the following:
• Preserve and protect the product
• Transport the product safely to its destination
• Makes the product attractive on shelf or increases the shelf appeal
• Acts as an advertising medium and enhances brand image
• And helps to distinguish it from “ me too” products.
Paper and paper board are excellent packaging choice owing to it’s close association with nature and natural world hence are 100% recyclable and biodegradable. The raw material is sourced from either sustainable forestry or recycled waste paper or from Agro waste such as Wheat straw and grass… all natural and biodegradable.
WE MUST CONSIDER SUBSTITUTING PLASTICS WITH PAPER WHEREVER POSSIBLE. THIS IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR.
Packaging paper can be divided into following categories:
• Kraft paper (Brown or Bleached) or UNBLEACHED or BLEACHED Kraft paper
• Kraft board
• Carry Bag paper(Shopping bag )
• Carton board – Duplex board, Folding Box board (FBB), Solid Bleached Sulphate board (SBS) etc
• Coloured board
• Tissue / MG Poster paper
• Absorbent Kraft (Decorative laminates)
• Core Board
Carton board is a multilayer paperboard usually; three or more layers, or plies, of cellulose fibre (pulp) derived from wood. The various layers are combined in the wet state on the board machine and may comprise one or several different types of pulp. The top layer of carton board usually has a smooth white-pigmented coating based on china clay and/or calcium carbonate. The reverse side may also be coated or it may be white, brown, cream or grey in colour depending on the grade of fibre used.
Carton board is mechanically strong. Its stiffness, rigidity and toughness provide compression strength to protect products in distribution and use. It can be cut, creased, folded and glued, giving the structural designer scope to produce functional and creative packaging.
The surface is usually white and smooth and can be printed by all the main printing processes. Printing can provide important product information and attractive graphical designs. Carton board can be embossed and hot foil stamped. It can be laminated to other materials, such as aluminium foil, extrusion coated with plastics, such as PE, PP and PET, and given treatments, which extend it’s range of appearance and performance properties.
Carton board is the packaging material that has the lowest impact on the environment and climate change. Carbon is absorbed by the trees, stored in the wood fibres in the carton and is kept locked up in the fibres when it is recycled.
Carton board are 3 types:
• Folding Box Board (FBB) – Used in general food, healthcare packaging, Cosmetics, greeting cards etc
• Solid Bleached Sulphate Board (SBS) – Used in high end packaging, cosmetics, healthcare packaging, Cake boxes etc
• Duplex board (Grey back or white back) – Used in lower end household packaging such as Breakfast cereals etc
Why is carton board multilayered? Multi-layering, that is forming the carton board in several layers, provides important technical features and gives flexibility in the choice of fibres (pulp) for each layer. It gives the carton board good stiffness, creasing, folding, and gluing properties. It also assists grammage and thickness control. It is particularly important to use good quality fibre in the two outer or surface layers. This is because the fibres in these layers, or plies, experience the greatest effect of externally applied stresses, which can extend or compress them in printing, conversion (creasing/folding) and use.
