Test Liner (Recycled)

Kraft Board or Kraft Liner Board or Containerboard (CCM or corrugated case material) is a type of paperboard specially manufactured for the production of corrugated board (Corrugated fiberboard) is a material consisting of a fluted corrugated sheet and one or two flat liner boards or Test liners.

It includes both linerboard and corrugating medium (or fluting), the two types of paper that make up a corrugated board.

Since containerboard is made mainly out of natural unbleached wood fibres, it is generally brown, although it’s shade may vary depending on the type of wood, pulping process, recycling rate and impurities present in raw material/pulp. For certain boxes that demands, good presentation( good attractive printing) , white bleached pulp or coating is also used on the top ply of the linerboard that goes outside the box.

Kraft Liner board ( KLB) is generally made from 80-100% virgin softwood pulp obtained from plantation softwood or coniferous wood (Sustainable and renewable source) such as Pine, Spruce etc and is the highest grade produced in the world in terms of tonnage ( more than 100 million ton per annum).

Generally KLB is available from 125gsm -200 gsm and again 200gsm – 450gsm

Test Liner is always made from 100% recycled natural fibres such as waste paper either pre consumer waste or post consumer waste. Depending upon source of raw material strength and other parameters of test liner is determined.

Most common gsm in Test liner grades are 150gsm, 175 gsm, 200gsm, 230gsm and 250gsm.
